International Shotokan Karate Federation of India
WARNING TO THE KARATE COMMUNITY:
The Indian Karate community deserves transparency, authenticity, and respect for the history of its organizations. No instructor, student, dojo owner, or parent should be misled by competing claims about the identity, registration, or recognition of a national karate federation.
We are bringing to public attention serious concerns regarding Mr. S. K. Lalu of West Bengal and his use of the name “ISKF India” or “International Shotokan Karate Federation India.” We call upon the karate community to examine the relevant records and independently verify the legitimacy of any organization claiming to represent ISKF India.
The International Shotokan Karate Federation of India (ISKF India) was founded by Shihan Shiv K. Panchal, who established and registered the organization in Haryana under the applicable society registration law OF GOVERNMENT OF HARYANA, with an “All India” operational area, according to its registration records.
The original federation obtained recognition from the All India Karate-Do Federation IN 2009 and is stated to be a founding associate member of the Karate India Organisation (KIO).
These historical and organizational records are important. The identity of the original federation must not be confused with that of another organization merely because it uses a similar name or title.
We publicly call upon Mr. S. K. Lalu to clarify the legal and organizational basis on which he or any organization associated with him claims the name, identity, or authority of ISKF India.
The questions that deserve clear answers are:
These are legitimate questions concerning organizational transparency. The karate community deserves documentary evidence rather than confusion, assumptions, or competing claims.
Unless the relevant records establish otherwise, no one should automatically accept an organization's claim to represent the original ISKF India simply because it uses a similar name.
Before paying affiliation fees, purchasing membership, accepting Dan certificates, or joining an organization claiming to represent ISKF India, verify its registration and affiliations directly with the relevant authorities.
Do not risk your money, your students' interests, or your professional reputation by relying solely on promotional banners, social media announcements, or verbal claims.
We encourage all concerned individuals to request documentary clarification from both parties and make informed decisions based on verifiable evidence.
ISKF India's history, identity, and organizational records deserve to be respected. We will continue to defend the legitimate interests of the original federation through transparency, documentary evidence, and the appropriate legal channels.
This is not a personal dispute that the karate community should resolve through rumors or hostility. It is a matter of organizational identity, accountability, and the protection of karate practitioners from possible misrepresentation.
We invite Mr. S. K. Lalu to provide documentary clarification of his claims and encourage the karate community to verify the facts before accepting any representation of ISKF India.
